Huge rally propels Bobcats past Indians


Burning Springs rallied to score the games final 15 points to gain a 42-41 mild upset over visiting Big Creek. Fourth grader Zac Kemp's free throw at 0:08 proved to be the game winner. Jon-Ross Barrett led the Bobcats with a career best 21 points; John Wilson scored nine; Noah Reid had seven and Kemp finished with five.

Tyler Young and Brandon Griffin scored 13 and 11 points, respectively, to lead the Indian's offense. Jeremy Sams and Brandon Jones each scored seven and Chad Lawson three.

Rockets power past Bobcats

Goose Rock guard Matthew Mitchell scored the games first six points and the Rockets built a 22-3 half time lead on their way to a 33-20 win over Burning Springs Saturday at CCMS Gym.

Mitchell finished with a game best 17; Bradley Mitchell scored six; Nathan Mitchell, Eric Smith, Brandon Smith, Brian Adams and Justin Henson each scored two points.

The Bobcats were led by John Wilson's six points, Logan Westerfield had four; Noah Reid and Chase Lewis added three apiece; David Phillips two; Zac Kemp and Adam Furguson one each.

It was the first time Bobcat Coach Scott Reid had gone up against his former Rocket team.

Burning Springs 39, Laurel Creek 12

Bobcats: Jon-Ross Barrett 13, Noah Reid 10, Jimmy Smith 4.

Jaguars: Dillon Durham 7, Cody Fields 4, Kendric Smith 1.
