Tyler Young had two hits, scored three times and pitched a one-hit shot out over four innings at the (age 9 & 10) Clay County Junior All Stars pounded Jackson County 15-0 last Tuesday at the Ramsey Ballpark.
Clay sent 15 batters to the plate in the first inning, nine of which scored. Jackson County pitching gave up seven base on balls in the first inning. Four of the Clay All Stars six total hits came in the opening inning.
Left fielder Delbert Collins, Jr., had the games only extra base hit, a two run double in his first at bat. He also scored two runs in the game. Center fielder Jacob Bowling broke up Young's bid for a no-hitter with a single to lead off the last inning.
