Wilson leads Bobcat comeback


Burning Springs point guard John Wilson scored 12 of his game best 21 points in the final quarter as the Bobcats (4-2) rallied for a 40-30 win at Manchester Thursday. The fifth grader also handed out five assists.

The Tigers had led by five points at intermission and 19-18 after three periods. Bobcat pivot Jon-Ross Barrett scored 10 of his 12 points in the last period. He also grabbed a game best nine rebounds. Noah Reid added five, Zac Kemp and Jimmy Smith each had one.

Zack McGeorge led the Tigers with 10, Adam Hubbard added eight points and seven rebounds; Jared Wesley Sizemore scored four; Cory Jackson three; Clinton Sizemore and Jordan White had two each and James R. Sizemore one.

Paces Creek 54, Burning Springs 21

The Bears (5-2) pulled away from an 11-6 first period lead and three players scored in double figures to win on the road. Ben Jackson, Josh England and Matthew Ealy scored 15, 12 and 11 points, respectively, as Paces Creek rebounded from their though three-point loss to Number One Hacker.

Kendale Reed chipped in with eight points; Delbert Collins, Michael Baker, Beachel Smith and Kody Reed each scored two points.

Noah Reid led the Bobcats (4-3) with eight points; John Wilson added seven; Jon-Ross Barrett had four and Chase Lewis two.
